How To Make Satay The Easy Way (No BBQ, No Charcoal, No Special Equipment Required).

This recipe is so simple, but so delicious! If you’re looking for a something new to make this weekend, consider making some easy chicken satay. It only takes a few minutes to prepare, and the results are fantastic.

Cheats Satay Chicken

Quick and easy satay with lots of flavor. A goto dish for the whole family.

Equipment

  • 1 Wok or deep frypan
  • 1 Chopping board

Ingredients
  

  • 700 grams Chicken breast or thigh fillet Or combination of the two
  • 2 tbsp Nasi Goreng Rice Paste Or a Korma curry paste
  • 1 can Coconut Cream
  • 2 tbsp Peanut Butter Crunchy or smooth, your choice
  • 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 2 Onion One red one white if possible

Instructions
 

  • Cut chicken into cubes or bite sized pieces and mix in bowl with 1tbsp Nsai Goreng Rice Paste. Allow to marinate for an hour if possible.
    700 grams Chicken breast or thigh fillet

  • Thinly slice the onions

    Thinly slice the onions
  • Fry onions on medium heat until soft

    Lightly frying onions
  • Increase heat add Nasi Goreng paste and fry until fragrant.
    2 tbsp Nasi Goreng Rice Paste
    Frying Nasi Goring Paste
  • Add chicken pieces and fry until browned all over
    700 grams Chicken breast or thigh fillet

  • Add coconut cream, peanut butter and brown sugar. The sauce will sweeten as it thickens so add the sugar a little at a time to get your desired sweetness
    1 can Coconut Cream, 2 tbsp Peanut Butter, 2 tbsp Brown Sugar
  • Lower heat and simmer for around 20 mins. The sauce will thicken and darken.
    Allow to Simmer
  • Serve on rice rice. Delish!
