Uncharted Waters Online is a free-to-play MMORPG set in the ‘golden age’ of oceanic exploration. Players start offf from 15th century Europe and sail through the pages of history, making their name as either an Adventurer, Merchant, or Soldier, and conquering the seas in many different ways. As adventurers, discover lost civilizations and artefacts, as traders command a trading fleet, or terrorize the seas as a pirate.
Iv been playing Uncharted Waters Online for a while now and am constantly amazed at the hidden complexities of this game. These can be compounded by the fact that its a bit of a niche game, many websites devoted to the Uncharted Waters Online community require translation and can be hard to follow. Thus I’m going to try and put some useful information here from new and experienced players alike. I’m also going to use this as an opportunity to try out recording and narrating game play. Its my first time so bear with me 🙂
The basics of questing in Uncharted Waters Online are pretty straightforward.
- Quests are available from the Mediator in guild offices. You can also pick up more advanced quests from various NPCs throughout the world.
- Talking to the Mediator will allow you to “take quest” which will bring up a list of available jobs along with their difficulty and rewards.
- Keep an eye on the required skills. If marked in red you may need to use special items to make up for your lack of skill.
- Once you accept the quest you can check your progress from the Quests menu in your Journal. The details of what is required will be shown in the details window and under the Progress tab.
- Some less advance quests also have a hint button if you get stuck.
